Early in the morning drive to fascinating Ngorongoro Crater where you will descend into the Crater floor (19.2 km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq. km) for game drives.

All the Big five Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, and many more mammals. Birds includes flamingos on the Soda Lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more. Break for lunch at Ngoitoktok spring Picnic site. Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World’. A massive extinct volcano, its towering tree lined walls drop thousands of feet to a “Noah’s Ark” of animals on the verdant floor below.

This breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both predator and prey to live among grasslands, fresh springs and the large soda lake. Nowhere else can such a diversity in wildlife be experienced in such a short period of time.

Trip plan: Early morning pick up to Ngorongoro Crater from Arusha, Karatu, Lake Manyara or other nearby places you are at. After 3h arriving to the Conservation Area of Ngorongoro and starting the game drive in the biggest caldera in the world which is home to many animals like lions, wildebeests, buffalos, rhinos, zebras, leopards, elephants, hippos, jackals and many more living together. Break for lunch at the picnic spot by the lake with hippos and continuing with the game drive through caldera and forest on the way back. Return in Arusha around 7pm.
