Serengeti is one of the oldest and most scientifically significant ecosystems on the planet. Together with Ngorongoro Crater - world’s biggest unbroken caldera, magnificent Serengeti National park is making a perfect safari holiday. Standing close to each other on the map makes very easy to combine these two famous spots for safari. 

Trip itinerary:

Day 1: Pick up from your hotel in Arusha early in the morning and start the drive to Serengeti National Park. While driving to the park you will pass through Ngorongoro crater rim, Maasai villages and beautiful landscapes. After lunch break, you will reach the park gate and start the afternoon game drive in Serengeti. Home of the biggest population of lions, the park will surprise you with many more animals. Depending how the nature treats you that day, you might spot leopard, elephants, hyenas, wildebeests, zebras, lions, giraffes, buffalos and the rest of the habitants of Serengeti endless plains while driving to the sunset. After the sun went down you will go to the campsite. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Campsite/Tanapa Rest house.

• Camping safari means sleeping in the tents on a public campsite inside the national parks. Campsite have dinning area, big space for tents, shared washroom with 2 shower cabins and 3 toilet cabins. Operators provide tents, mattresses and sleeping bags. Perfect for those who want to experience the wild adventure on a budget.
• Rest houses are hostels in the parks that are perfect for those who want more privacy and to relax on a budget. Rest houses have rooms with private bathrooms and pool areas.

Day 2: After early morning breakfast, you will leave campsite in Serengeti and go for a sunrise game drive and see animals being more active as the hot day hasn’t started yet. You will drive until lunch, then in the afternoon you will head off to Ngorongoro. While driving on a rim of Ngorongoro – we will make a break for a visit one of the most famous tribes of this area. Maasai people will host us in their traditional boma, tell us a story about their everyday life and host us with a tribal dance. After the village, we will reach Ngorongoro Simba Campsite for dinner and overnight. In case of staying in a rest house Tanapa, schedule might change.

Day 3: After breakfast, you will leave campsite and start going down in the crater deep 610m. Ngorongoro is amongst 7 Natural Wonders of Africa and we are sure the landscape will amaze you. Driving inside the biggest world’s caldera might get you to spot the Big Five Animals: lions, elephants, buffalos, leopard and rhino, amongst many other animals living in the crater. After lunch driving back to Arusha and finishing the trip full of memories.
