What type of safari Accommodation should I choose?

For those going on a few days safari package – this is question that’s asked the most amongst our clients. Let us simplify it, to help you choose.

Safari, translated to English means ‘The journey’. The journey is the way you choose. Tanzania has 22 National parks, and safari through its national parks and conservation area defines the tourism of the country that we are so proud of.

Safari is not a cheap trip, we know that. There is many fees to cover, things to organize – but as nature is Africa’s biggest wealth, it has to be protected all ways.

Rates of the safari are depending mostly on the accommodation the clients willing to go choose. There is

Budget option – which means the nights are spent in the tents at the campsite inside the national park.

How does the camping work? After a full game drive, you go to the public campsite, grass area, where your team will pitch a tent for you. Operator will provide for you mattress and sleeping bag. At the campsite there is a public washroom with shower cabins and toilets, there is a kitchen building for chefs and dinning building for having meals. Charger sockets are available at the dinning area. One tent is for 2 guests.

This option is recommended for those who want to experience the complete adventure sleeping in the wild and have a budget safari.

What is recommended to bring for the campsite option?

  • power bank, to make sure your phone or camera are always charged.
  • Toiletries such as tooth paste, brush, shower gel
  • Bring towel for showering as campsite don’t provide
  • Small pillow or some hoodie that can be used as a pillow for comfortable sleep
  • Warm clothes
  • Insect repellent
  • Torch, head one is the recommended in case you need to carry things
  • Some bags to put on a side dirty clothes

In case some people are not used to camping and would rather like sleeping in beds, while having a private bathroom – National parks have rest houses, that are low-budget ranged, but provide more comfort and privacy.

Mid-range option is for those that like comfort, privacy and would like to stay in middle ranged lodged. Hotels in this range mostly offer locations just outside the parks, with standard rooms with private bathrooms, many of them have a pool.

When choosing a luxury way of safari, it means you will be accommodated in the tented lodges or hotels and enjoy in the oasis of luxury. Located inside of the national park, all facing a magnificent view, all inclusive treatments, bonfires and infinity pools overlooking the wildlife.

Despite of your chosen type of accommodation depending on a budget and expectations, every safari ride stays the same – 4×4 safari vehicle, good driver, good service and wild animals around you! Safari is a life journey which we gladly recommended to everyone, and we make sure that it becomes a life experience. Join the ride and feel the savannah.
